Zephan is a registered nurse at an Edmonton hospital. He works night shifts. Between patients, he noticed something: his phone had messages from plumbers, HVAC companies, and dental offices saying "sorry we missed you." These weren't just inconveniences — they were businesses hemorrhaging revenue to voicemail.

He built MPG Solutions in his apartment in the Twinbrooks neighbourhood of Edmonton. No venture capital. No co-founders. Just a laptop, a vision, and the work ethic he inherited from his father — a Ghanaian immigrant who earned a PhD and was offered a VP role at the Alberta Energy Regulator.

Night shifts gave him the time. Healthcare gave him the thinking. Watching businesses lose $500 jobs to a phone ring gave him the why.

A homeowner with a burst pipe at 2 AM deserves to reach a real business, not a voicemail. Every missed call is someone's problem going unsolved and a contractor's revenue walking out the door. We built a system that answers every time, no exceptions.

US competitors charge per-call and aren't PIPEDA compliant. They weren't built for our privacy laws, our bilingual requirements, or the realities of running a trades business in Alberta. We built this for Canada — PIPEDA-compliant, flat-rate, and managed from Edmonton.

Technology should level the playing field.

A solo plumber shouldn't have to choose between being on a job and answering the phone. A two-person dental practice shouldn't lose patients to a competitor with a bigger front-desk budget. AI should make the small operator as reachable as the large one.
